Natural Beauty: Create Your Own Super Hydrating Avocado Hair Mask

Natural Beauty, Avocado

Creating a Natural beauty routine is possibly the best thing that you can do for your skin and wallet. Most of the items you use will be available in the produce aisle of your local grocer. A prime example is the avocado. They’re good for the body, the mind, waistline and now it’s something to add to your all-natural beauty routine. They are packed full of protein and those much-needed amino acids! All of those good fatty proteins are amazing for the hair.

I was stumbling through the interwebs earlier this week and tried this hair mask I found on the Wholefully website. It’s there Whipped Avocado, Honey, And Olive Oil Deep Conditioning Hair Mask.

Now how is this mask beneficial?

Avocado is good for moisturizing and penetrating the hair to give it that good shine. Honey seals in moisture and helps reduce breakage. Lastly, olive oil helps prevent dandruff and fungus in the hair.

Now that we have all the reasons to try this new and amazing mask. How do we actually use these ingredients to make our hair silky, shiny, and beautiful? Here’s the coveted recipe for the deliciousness,

Whipped Avocado , Honey, & Olive Oil Hair Mask

1 ripe avocado peeled and pitted

2 Tablespoons of olive oil

2 tablespoons of honey

2-3 drops of lavender (optional)

Blend all the ingredients together. You can do this either in a blender, food processor or just mash it with a fork and whip it all together. That’s what I did.

Apply mixture to damp hair, don’t completely wash it just spritz it with a water bottle.

Tie hair up and ut on a shower cap. Leave mixture on for 15-30 minutes. You can apply a warm towel to your head to help the mixture penetrate the hair deeper.

Once you’re satisfied rinse and wash the hair as usual.

How To Turn Your Shower Routine Into A Relaxing & Lux Experience

Soap and Glory, rich and foamous,

For some people, a bath or shower is simply a necessary nuisance that they try to get over with as soon as possible. For me, it’s where I come to end my day and rest my mind. Your end of the day shower should be something relaxing and enjoyable. If it’s not I’ll show you simple ways you can make your bathroom an oasis.

Set the mood. I love to light a candle to get ready for my shower. It’s a much softer effect than using my standard overhead light and so much more soothing.

After I light my candles I like to shower with ocean waves or whale noises. The sounds of water just calm me. But whatever helps you is good for you.

It’s always good to have a cozy warm scent fill the air you can do it with the candles or an exfoliating wash so the warm feeling follows you. I prefer to have a sweet-smelling exfoliator so my skin its soft and smells sweet.

You’ll need a luxurious body wash to keep your skin looking amazing. My favorite body wash is by Soap and Glory call Rich & Foamous. It really feels soft like a cloud and works up a really good lather.

To top it all off have a nice plush robe to slip into afterward. It just makes the whole experience that much more relaxing.

I love to moisturize with because it has retinol in it and it helps speed up collagen production for smooth even skin.

After that, finish with your skin care routine and a  with wine.
