Sneaky Ways You’re Destroying Your Skin And How To Fix It

You follow the TikTok beauty gurus skincare routine flawlessly. You know every skincare product that Ole Hendriksen has made and yet…your skin is a blotchy dull mess! What the hell is going on? Well, I’ll tell you what all you’re doing to mess up your skin and how to heal it, read on.

You Eat Like Sh*t

Let’s be real, when was the last time you had a veggie, or fruit that wasn’t in a smoothie? Keto is not skin-friendly seeing how grease wrapped grease bacon wrapped in cheese is on the menu. Your skin needs vitamins to help it glow and so get some true veggies in there and fruits. Watermelon, blueberries, and grapes mixed in with oats and maple syrup makes for a great snack. Broccoli in garlic sauce is a great easy dinner too, it doesn’t have to be complicated!

You’re Using Waaayy To Many Products

You want to know why your BF skin looks great and yours in just meh? He uses one soap, one moisturizer, and maybe acne serum if something is breaking him out or isn’t working he can pinpoint exactly what it is and change it. The skincare aisle can be your best friend or your worst enemy. having your bathroom look like a drug store is aesthetically pleasing but does nothing for your skin. My skin looked when I used one all-natural cleanser and a moisturizing serum. It doesn’t have to take 15-20 minutes just has to moisturize and boost the skin.

You’re not wearing the proper SPF

Yes, my melanated queens ( and not so melanin cuties) you need sunscreen it keeps your skin from drying out, looking flakey, and keeps it even. Shea butter can fix a lot but it can’t fix that.

Exfoliating Way Too Much

Exfoliation is only needed once or twice a week depending on your skin type and concern. By NO Means do you need to do it every day you will end up tearing your skin up and causing premature aging.

Cleansing Too Much

Washing your face is great, twice a day. The morning should be more like a rinse with maybe a toner if you want it. The night should be a more targeted solutions but they don’t both have to have extreme cleansing involved, if your skin feels tight after washing then the cleanser is too harsh for you.

It’s your Coffee Addiction

Caffeine is a great way to wake up in the morning but it terrible for you skin. It dries you out plus if you have acne prone skin it can send your oil glands in to over drive that = more pimples.

Lastly

Lighten up on your moisturizer.

Hydrate your skin by drinking water and water-dense foods. It’ll help in the long run. When you do moisturize don’t put on 3 or 4 moisturizers, look for something a little denser if you need extra hydration or refer to tip one.. Look at your diet!

Everyone is different and these tips will apply to some not all. Let me know what your favorite tips are or what you’re guilty of and I will see you in the next one. Peace & Love
