
As you know lips have always been a big struggle for me. Mine don’t get chapped but they do often get very chapped and sometimes split. Not very sexy or appealing. Today I’m going to show you how I fix my lips when they get really bad and get supple and smooth lips again.

Now before we get started my lips don’t usually get really dry unless it’s allergy season or winter. We’ll talk more about that later on in the post but for now, this is what I do on a day to day basis.

Stay Hydrated
My favorite drink is cold water. It helps cleanse your system, keep your organs running and keep you hydrated. While I don’t have dry mouth when I don’t drink enough water I definitely feel it the next day. I try to drink 10 big glasses a day, this doesn’t count for any water that I might have eaten.
Avoid Chap-stick
I know it sounds weird but petroleum-based moisturizers for the lips don’t work for me. I used to use chapstick all the time and it left a thin film on my lips every time, By the end of the day my lips are still dry. Now I usually use lp gloss. I know it’s odd but it’s way more hydrating because it’s a gel and it’s absorbed in to the lips.
When my lips get really bad like during allergy season or it’s really dry outside like in winter I have to do a bit more.
Super Hydrating Smooth Lip Scrub
1 tsp of olive oil
a pinch or sugar or how much you think you need.
I rub this in circles along my lips for a moment or so (don’t lick it tastes gross) and then wipe it off with a towel. After that I apply my lipgloss and then I’m done this winter I think I’ll use my laneige lip sleeping mask. I also use it daily when I wake up and it’s helped a bunch.
