Natural Beauty: Create Your Own Super Hydrating Avocado Hair Mask

Natural Beauty, Avocado

Creating a Natural beauty routine is possibly the best thing that you can do for your skin and wallet. Most of the items you use will be available in the produce aisle of your local grocer. A prime example is the avocado. They’re good for the body, the mind, waistline and now it’s something to add to your all-natural beauty routine. They are packed full of protein and those much-needed amino acids! All of those good fatty proteins are amazing for the hair.

I was stumbling through the interwebs earlier this week and tried this hair mask I found on the Wholefully website. It’s there Whipped Avocado, Honey, And Olive Oil Deep Conditioning Hair Mask.

Now how is this mask beneficial?

Avocado is good for moisturizing and penetrating the hair to give it that good shine. Honey seals in moisture and helps reduce breakage. Lastly, olive oil helps prevent dandruff and fungus in the hair.

Now that we have all the reasons to try this new and amazing mask. How do we actually use these ingredients to make our hair silky, shiny, and beautiful? Here’s the coveted recipe for the deliciousness,

Whipped Avocado , Honey, & Olive Oil Hair Mask

1 ripe avocado peeled and pitted

2 Tablespoons of olive oil

2 tablespoons of honey

2-3 drops of lavender (optional)

Blend all the ingredients together. You can do this either in a blender, food processor or just mash it with a fork and whip it all together. That’s what I did.

Apply mixture to damp hair, don’t completely wash it just spritz it with a water bottle.

Tie hair up and ut on a shower cap. Leave mixture on for 15-30 minutes. You can apply a warm towel to your head to help the mixture penetrate the hair deeper.

Once you’re satisfied rinse and wash the hair as usual.

Hair Rehab: How To Repair Weak And Damaged Hair

“Hair is a woman’s crown.”

It is the ultimate beauty accessories that allow a woman to show off her personality and style better than any makeup or wardrobe ever could. With all that cut, color, and styling it’s no wonder after a while it can start looking dull or have a product overload.

Thank God for Hair Rehab! I love to heat style my hair and color treat it so sometimes I need to do some rehab to get it back to its glory. Here’s how I do rehab on my hair.

No 1. Invest in a Good Protein Mask

I’m talking to the girls who love to color or relax their hair. Your hair is mostly made up of protein and when you make any kind of chemical changes to it your strip away some protein which can cause breakage. In order to strengthen up your hair back up. My favorite is Aphogee it’s powerful enough to add strength but strong enough to add real strength to your hair.

No 2. Limit The Heating Tools

I know this is easier said than done, but it’s necessary. Give your hair time to heal after you cook it to get some of its nutrients back. If you’re worried about keeping your hair fresh for the next days try wrapping it up at night or tying it up with some curlers for the night.  And try limiting the heat styling to once a week.

No 3. Moisturize

At least once a week or so deep condition your hair either with a natural mix or something store-bought. As long as your hair is getting some good deep conditioning nutrients you should be set for the week.

No 4. Trim iT

I know everyone hates getting a trim but it’s necessary! Damage ends only create more damage and no magic elixir will fix a split end, it’s better to cut off the damage and start a new.
