Skincare has always been a passion of mine. When I was younger I would create and try new recipes for my skin in the kitchen and try them out. Some worked, most didn’t do much but I did learn some awesome tips. Here are my top 6 favorite ones.
You are What You Eat
Unfortunately, you can’t just eat what you want, as often as you want. When you continuously eat food that has no nutritional value and is greasy. It deprives of the goodness it needs to glow. Therefore an unhealthy diet leaves the skin looking dull, lifeless, and in some cases acne filled.
Wash Your Hair
Your hair, short or long your hair regularly touches your face. When you can wash your hair so it doesn’t get greasy and sweaty. All that grease can cause a breakout around the hairline.
Steaming Your Face
Regularly steaming your face helps your pores open and helps the treatment or serum plunge deeper in your skin. Plus it’s relaxing too.
This is something that my Uncle told me when I was younger and I’ve followed it ever since. Always apply your skincare treatment upward, when you apply it downwards it pulls on the skin and causes sagging. I don’t know if it’s true but I’m not going to risk it.
Meditation for Stress Relief
Meditation is a great way to calm and relieve yourself of a stressful situation and open your own spiritual awakening. In relation to skin care, the stress and worry in your life are not good for the body. Stress can leave lines on the face as well as that dullness we all hate.
Sleep is essential to my skincare regimen. You have to sleep so your body can heal itself and perform for at peak performance.
